Spill Kits

General purpose blue spill kit bin with absorbent socks, pads, and SpillFix bags.

At first I seem harmless, a drip on the ground,
But give me some time and I’ll spread all around.
Ignored I bring headaches, fines, and lost reputation, Act fast to contain me, or I’ll cause devastation.

A Spill often starts small – as a drip, splash or a leak. But without the right response, it can grow into a costly cleanup.

That’s where having the right spill kit can make all the difference. When used correctly, a spill kit can prevent a minor spill from turning into a major environmental disaster.

Which Spill Kit?
Three main types of spill kits; Let’s dive a bit deeper into the different types…

General Purpose Spill Kits

are our most popular all-rounder, capable of handling almost any hazardous or non-hazardous liquid spill.
Perfect for indoor use, they can be identified by their blue bins and grey absorbents.

Oil & Fuel Spill Kits

are designed specifically for hydrocarbons and are hydrophobic.
Ideal for spills on water or in wet conditions. Oil and fuel kits are popular in workshops, aquaculture, and marine environments.

Chemical Spill Kits

work much like General Purpose kits but are built to handle harsh chemicals such as acids and alkalis.
Their highly visible absorbents are fast acting and help to alert others of potential hazards.

We also offer
Specialised Spill Kits

for specific hazards such as aggressive acids and alkalis, biohazards and bodily fluids.
Specialised spill kits are ideal for unique spill scenarios where a standard spill kit may not be enough.

What’s Inside a Spill Kit?

A good spill kit should contain everything required to clean up a liquid spill, such as absorbents, clean up equipment and PPE. More specifically, some common spill kit items include:

Absorbent socks to contain the spill and stop the spread.

Absorbent cushions to soak up pools of liquid and to catch drips.

Absorbent pads for absorbing liquids on sealed surfaces.

Granular Absorbents for spills on rough or unsealed surfaces and final cleanup.

Contaminated Waste Disposal Bags for safe handling and disposal.

Personal Protective Equipment like gloves, eyewear and coveralls.
